KGH MSA Working Group serves as the KGH Medical Staff Association’s representative in managing funds provided through Doctors of BC, as involved in:
– FE Project approval and monitoring
– Medical Staff Well-being
– Quality of patient care through FE Projects, Physician health wellness support (such as Wellness and Peer Support groups)

The Kelowna General Hospital Medical Staff Association exists to foster a strong medical community grounded in compassionate care and meaningful collaboration. We support, connect, and advocate for our medical staff to enhance professional wellbeing, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to the highest standards of care for the patients and communities we serve.

An emergency physician invested in several aspects of emergency medicine, including toxicology, ultrasound, and peak performance, particularly within high-pressure environments like the emergency department.

Dr. Gregory Costello

Dr. Gregory Costello serves as a Member at Large on the KGH MSA Executive, supporting advocacy efforts, governance priorities, and the engagement of medical staff across sections.

Ms. Taaryn Miller (NP)
KGH MSA Working Group Executive Member
Taaryn Miller is a hospitalist nurse practitioner at Kelowna General Hospital. She brings an NP lens to the Medical Staff Association, focusing on communication, advocacy, transparency, and patient care

Dr. Jeff Wong
KGH MSA Working Group Executive Member
Dr. Wong is focused on rebuilding trust and creating a sustainable, collaborative system. “I see my role as a facilitator and coach,” he says. “We are building a system where all team members are actively engaged, involved and feel their voices are heard. People may come and go, but the system, if well-designed, lasts.”

Dr. Ann Marie McKenna
Division of Internal Medicine
Specializing in General Internal Medicine, Dr. McKenna brings over 13 years of clinical experience to the care of adults with complex and chronic medical conditions. She is known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach and her expertise in managing medically complex presentations.

Willie Redd leads the board with a focus on strategic advocacy, medical staff engagement, and governance excellence.

Dr. Marie Claire Bourque
Psychiatry
Marie Claire Bourque, MD, is a Psychiatrist and an international and national award-winning clinician, educator, speaker, and leader with more than ten years of leadership experience and strategic vision. A respected and recognized mental health thought leader, Dr. Bourque blends her experience in the public and private sectors to communicate and influence systems of care.

Dr. Caitlin Holtby
Dr. Holtby is a neurologist and clinical assistant professor with the University of British Columbia. She completed a Bachelor’s of Science at Queen’s University and a Master’s of Science in Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University. She then went on to the University of Calgary for medical school, neurology residency and a headache-medicine fellowship.
