Frank and Amit worked together in the Med-Surg ICU to rapidly place a pericardial drain in a patient with pericardial tamponade from a hemorrhagic pericarditis. The patient was clinically unstable and within minutes of a life-threatening clinical deterioration. I was so proud to work in an institution where I could receive this level of support to help save a patient’s life. It was amazing.
