Goals
- Evaluate the impact of using POCT Fentanyl detecting urine cups to support physician decision making in Critical Care.
Outcomes
- There are spot urine cup drug screens currently being used in the community that DO detect Fentanyl. They are used by the methadone physicians in prescribing clinics.
- These urine cups are designed to detect Fentanyl, amongst other narcotics. We would like to have some of these cups available to our ICU team until such times as KGH has a more permanent solution.
