Goals

Since a 2018 ombudsmen report on improper use of the Mental Health Act (MHA), KGH physicians have attempted to be more mindful in their use of legislation when hospital care is required for incapable adults. In exploring other relevant legislation (HCCCFAA and AGA), KGH physicians have uncovered ambiguity and disagreement in the interpretation and application of these laws. A group of KGH physicians have been working to address this issue

Outcomes

To develop materials, facilitate communication, and manage administrative aspects of the situation and to connect IH with the KGH medical staff in a professionally sensitive manner.
