Goals
- Create a short (2 to 3 min.) video tour which will outline the steps pediatric patients and their families take when visiting the hospital for a surgical procedure.
- Collaboration with other physicians to help provide patient and family centered care.
Outcomes
- Children and their families who receive preparation before surgery (i.e., story book or video feel more secure, show less distress, less aggression post-operatively and have fewer behavioural changes 2 weeks after surgery.
