- Streamline and optimize the diagnostic pathway for patients needing biopsies for possible lymphoma / enlarged lymph nodes.
- Create lasting changes, endorsement and facilitation of changes by all parties.
- Work with ACU and OR managers to update KGH policy on accepting samples.
- Raise awareness with surgeons / others.
Outcomes
- Provide patients with overall faster time to diagnosis minimizing non-diagnostic biopsies.
- Optimize the appropriate approach tobiopsy balancing morbidity with adequate material for pathologic diagnosis.
