Goals
- The current KGH MSA Facility Engagement application process is unstructured, opaqueto applicants, and difficult for the Working Group to adjudicate consistently. There is noup-front eligibility filter, no routing for ideas that fall outside FE (recruitment, retreats,KGH Medical Education, MSA operations), no plain-language alignment to the SSC FEFunding Guidelines or the MOU on Regional and Local Engagement, and no audit-readypaper trail. Applicants submit free-form narrative requests; the WG must reconstructcompliance from first principles each cycle. The problem has worsened as the MSA hasgrown and FEMS reporting expectations have tightened. In May 2026 the KGH MSAExecutive directed that the framework be modernized in time for the October 5, 2026AGM. This project delivers the redesigned framework and its interactive tooling — a digital application form, an automated budget calculator with cap enforcement, and adjudication-workflow tooling.
Outcomes
- Deliverables: (1) a gate-first FE application form with the eligibility checkpoint placedfirst and explicit mapping to the SSC FE Funding Guidelines and the MOU on Regionaland Local Engagement; (2) an FE Funding Routing Guide directing ineligible asks to thecorrect source; (3) a WG adjudication checklist mirroring the application's gatestructure for consistent, defensible decisions; (4) the interactive build — digital application form, automated budget calculator with cap enforcement, and adjudication-workflow tooling (engineering by Deepak Mishra and team); (5) a WG orientationsession and rollout communications to members; (6) a post-rollout cleanup pass.Beneficiaries: KGH MSA members (a faster, clearer process and earlier 'no' for ineligibleasks); WG members (lower adjudication burden); the FE Program Manager (audit-readyrecords); the Executive, KGH leadership and SSC (clear demonstration of FE fund stewardship).
